Hometown: I have two, I was born in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to the US in early 90s and lived in Diamond Bar, CA for majority of my life. 909 represent!
Next up in our series is our Head of E-Commerce & Growth Marketing, Faheem Dayala. Faheem brings an extensive background in integrated brand & growth marketing with 14+ years of experience to Rise Gardens. His experience includes a strong focus on driving ROI, innovation, and leading the development of brand marketing and growth marketing across a variety of industries for B2B and B2C brands. Faheem joins Rise Gardens to help grow the business as he has done for many other businesses in the past.
Why did you choose to work with Rise Gardens?
I love the product and that it's actually a benefit to the greater society. Other than the basics, I hold the type of product/service company sells as a major deciding factor. I can't wait to see what year 2 has in store for us!
How has Rise Gardens changed how you are eating?
Definitely eating more greens and veggies!
What's your favorite dish to cook?
For the livelihood of my family, we've decided I would stick to breakfast so, yeah I make a mean fried egg and breakfast burritos! LOL
Tell us about your gardening experience.
I joke and say I would have to garden for a year or two to qualify as a novice. I had always wanted to grow plants/food but always intimidated by up keep and potential of me killing it. And by potential, I mean for sure that I'm killing it...until Rise Gardens. LOL.
What are you reading right now?
My wife jokes and says I read text books because I read a lot of business books. And by read, I mostly mean listen to on audible. Currently reading/listening to a lot of Ryan Holiday books on Stoicism and re-visiting Alex Haley's Malcom X.
What are you watching on TV right now?
Anything NBA/Basketball. So happy my Lakers won the title. Also watching Meat Eater on Netflix and who ISN'T watching Bollywood Wives on Netflix LOL #DontJudgeMe.
Do you have any special secret talents?
My secret talents would have to be my writing and drawing skills. I like to write poetry, short stories, and draw some really abstract "art"/doodles.
How do you spend your free time?
I have eclectic taste so I could be woodworking, off-roading or any other outdoor activity, cycling, playing or watching basketball and of course spend time with my daughter who is an absolute pride and joy.
